The Indian cumin market continues to be sluggish and prices have fallen again compared to last week. Arrivals in the markets are increasing significantly, adding to the pressure; around 90% of these are for the new crop. Local traders can clearly see a double selling pressure from growers and stockists. Both segments are under pressure to sell, as arrivals of the new crop will increase exponentially over the next two weeks.
