GUJARAT. Small quantities of cardamom from the new crop are already available in the Indian markets, but the bulk of the crop will not arrive for a few weeks. Therefore, prices continue to increase.

Cumin

Rising domestic and foreign demand has pushed up prices for Indian cumin this week. Cumin, Grade A, 99% purity ended this week at a level of 2.465 USD/kg FOB India.

There are currently an increasing number of enquiries from China in particular. In the coming weeks, too, market participants expect a rising price trend and increased buying interest. Before the Eid festival in mid-August, buyers from the Gulf states and the Middle East still stock up on goods.
