Sugar: Trend is set to change soon

PRAGUE/WARSAW/BERLIN. As traders report, the tension has eased in the EU markets for granulated sugar. This has an enormous impact in Germany.

Cheap offers in the Czech Republic

Granulated sugar produced in Germany is currently trading on a level of EUR 0.51-0.53 EUR per kg DDP Germany. Although the producers do have lower prices on offer, experience shows that they are not available for all protential customers. The market prices for sugar produced in Poland range lower at EUR 0.49-0.50 per kg DDP Germany and in the Czedch Republic prompt shipments are available for EUR 0.48 per kg.

The  different prices on offer are based on the national production and transport costs in the different origin
