MANISA. Harvesting has just started in Manisa. Growers and exporter are anxiously waiting for the TMO to announce base prices for raisins. Expectation is that the start to the new season will be chaotic. Exports have picked up.

Harvest starts in Manisa

With temperatures expected to range at 22-24C (72-75F) at night and at 34-39C (93-102F) throughout the day the heatwave is continuing in Manisa. Lower temperatures will only occur towards the end of the week. Trouble, however, is that rain may be possible next week, which is a great risk factor as the harvest has started.
