Sultanas: conditions to turn cold again

MANISA. In Manisa, the current sunny spell will not last. Frost will remain a risk factor for sultana production until the end of April. Exports are 15% down on last year.

Short sunny spell

Although Manisa will witness some sunny days after a rainy week, temperatures will drop and rain is forecasted again towards the end of the week along with snow in higher altitudes and frost in Eastern Turkey. Forecasted temperatures range at 6-10C (43-50F) at night and at 15-22C (59-72F) at day. Great damages are not expected from the cold spell, yet frost will remain a risk factor until the end of April.
