MANISA. Parts of Manisa suffered frost damage last week and experts are in the process of determining the extent. Traders therefore prefer to wait and see.

Damage assessment is underway

The frost announced last week led to crop losses in some regions of the Manisa province. The districts of Ahmetli, Salihli, Sarıgöl, Alaşehir and Saruhanlı were affected, with 80% of the vines reportedly damaged in some cases. The Provincial Agricultural Directorate sent out teams to assess the damage shortly afterwards. The assessment should be completed by the end of this week.
