MANISA. Growers in Turkey are busy preparing the vineyards for the harvest. Offers for the new crop are circulating for type 9 sultanas. Weekly exports were rather strong.

Manisa has left a very hot week behind with surprising rain at the weekend. The Turkish meteorological institute has forecasted temperatures of 21-24C (70-75F) at night and of 35-36C (95-97F) in the daytime, which is good news for the vineyards.
