MANISA. The Islamic Festival of Sacrifice holidays have led to a quiet market. Exports increased last week. Hail and rain have caused some damage to the vineyards.

Precipitation is not without consequences

In the Turkish province of Manisa, the spring-like weather continues, though it is accompanied by occasional rain and hailstorms. The local weather service forecasts daytime temperatures of 28-30°C for this week, with night-time temperatures cooling down to 16-17°C.

Last Friday, however, heavy rainfall occurred in some neighbouring regions around the district of Saruhanlı. Flooding and hail damage have caused significant damage here. Vineyards were particularly affected, but so were corn, cotton and wheat. F
