MANISA/TEHRAN. Daily arrivals presently range at 300 metric tonnes at the exchange market in Izmir. The farmgate prices in the free market, however...

While the TMO has been rather reluctant to buy from the very beginning, market players now also reckon that Taris will no longer make major purchases. Trais will most probably only buy those products for which the organisation has already reached an agreement with the producers. Both organisations reckon that prices will not recover sufficiently this season to be able to sell at a profit.

Pries need to drop to USD 1.85 per kg

The remaining 20% of the crop is currently drying in the fiel
