MANISA/UPINGTON. Turkish sultana growers are angry about the inaction and price adjustments by state organisations. The harvest is progressing well, although the grapes are smaller than last year.

Harvest is progressing well

High daytime temperatures of 33-38 °C and dry weather are benefiting both the grape harvest and the drying process, and work is progressing rapidly. Occasional temperature fluctuations have so far had no adverse effects. Meanwhile, the Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry in Manisa has completed its studies on the 2026 grape harvest; the results have yet to be published.
