MANISA. While the extent of frost damage to the apricot market is quite clear, the exact impact on sultana production in Manisa still seems somewhat unclear. This is also reflected in prices.

Commission conducts investigations of frost damage

It remains hot in Turkey. According to weather forecasts, temperatures of 38-42°C are expected in the province of Manisa this week, with the perceived temperature even reaching around 50°C.

The outlook for this year's sultana production is currently moderate. Due to the extreme frost nights in mid-April, the vines are bearing less fruit.
