MANISA. Farmers are preparing for frost and hail in Manisa. The high fluctuations in temperature may very well impact this year's raisins.

Vineyards covered

Manisa has left a week of warm temperatures of up to 30C (86F) and is currently witnessing a cold snap with possible frost events forecast at the end of the week. As the vineyeards have awakened such temperature fluctuations may pose a risk. All farmers throughout the province are taking precautions against possible frost and hail damages. In the Sarigöl district, where table grapes are mainly grown, the farmers have even covered the vineyards with tissue netting.
