Sunflower seeds: differing estimates

SOFIA/KYIV. The US Department of Agriculture has made adjustments to the sunflower seed production in 2024 in its latest WASDE report. Current crop estimates for Eastern Europe were also discussed during the 10th International Conference “Black Sea Oil Trade - 2024”.

Good prospects for Argentina

In Ukraine, the sunflower seed harvest is slowly coming to an end. So far, 8.779 million mt have been harvested from an area of 4.31 million hectares, which corresponds to 87% of the planned yield. At 2.04 mt/ha, the average yield has improved significantly compared to the first weeks of the harvest period.
