June estimates were much more optimistic

The estimates for the EU sunflower seed crop are dampening the mood on the market. In its latest report, the European Commission has once again drastically lowered production expectations, with crops in Romania and Bulgaria in particular, but also in Hungary, being much lower than originally assumed. In the EU Commission's June report, the crop forecast was still 10.786 million mt, but this has now fallen by 25% to 8.14 million mt.
