SOFIA/KYIV. The farmers' protests in Poland continue to hinder the flow of Ukrainian agricultural goods. All parties involved are in favour of a solution that protects Polish growers but also maintains trade.

The EU Commission has extended the mandate to prolong the suspension of import duties and quotas for imports from Ukraine for another year until 5 June 2025. However, agricultural products are exempt from this regulation due to safeguard clauses in order to protect the EU market from a drop in prices.
