Sunflower seeds: Ukraine expects similar acreage to 2024

More than 5 million ha of sunflower seeds

The Ukrainian Ministry of Agriculture has made a preliminary estimate for the 2025 sowing season. A total of 23 million hectares of agricultural products could be cultivated in Ukraine this year, with cereals accounting for 11.067 million hectares or 48.1% of this. The acreage for oilseeds is expected to be 8.892 million ha, which would correspond to 38.7% of the total area – at 5.171 million ha, sunflower seeds account for more than half of this acreage, followed by soybeans (2.423 million ha) and rapeseed (1.167 mill
