Walnuts: Chile's new crop will be available in early March

SANTIAGO. Market players state that the new Chilean crop should be available from the first week of March. The current season has seen a 6% decline in exports.

January exports increased noticeably

The export report recently published by Chilenut shows that Chile significantly increased its walnut exports in January 2021. A total of almost 2,160 mt of shelled and unshelled walnuts were shipped, compared to only 667 mt in January 2020, which is an increase of 208%. Overall, exports have fallen by 6% since the start of the season (21.03.2020) and amount to 96,212 mt.
