MADRID/SACRAMENTO. Frost in the Californian almond growing regions left almond prices tumbling last week. And it is not over yet.

 

Price corrections at the start of the week

In the past week, prices for Californian almonds and almond-products had increased by more than one euro per kilo in some cases. Market participants who wanted to get their own overview of the situation in California report that due to extensive frost damage, a good US almond crop seems almost impossible.
