MADRID/SACRAMENTO. At the almond market in Albacete, prices for Guara and Marcona almonds have seen further gains over the past few weeks, while price corrections executed by other traders are travelling in a different direction.

It remains to be seen in how far the crop estimates can support the increased price levels of the last few weeks. It cannot yet be precisely determined how much, if any, damages the crop will suffer as a result of frost and disease.

The lack of bad news in California and Spain has led to traders in Spain to retain stable-to-favourable prices in comparison to last week.
