Almonds: Rising deliveries and prices

MADRID/SACRAMENTO. While Californian almonds are available at similar prices as last week, Spanish almond suppliers have corrected their offers noticeably.

Spain is frost-resistant
The prices for Spanish almonds have been significantly increased this week. Depending on the variety and size, the offers are 0.05-0.20 EUR/kg more expensive than in the previous week and are at a similar level to last year around this time.

At the end of February 2018 frost damage was reported and prices increased massively overnight. In fact, the Spanish almond harvest was ultimately unimpressed and produced a record result.
