Blue poppy: Official estimates delayed

CHRUDIM. In a few weeks the Czech poppy seed farmers will start the harvest. However, when exactly depends on the weather in the coming days.

New crop prices remain attractive

Last week, the Czech Statistical Office published crop forecasts for various agricultural commodities, but poppy seeds were not one of them.

The Czech blue poppy seed market is therefore quiet. The last remnants from the 2018-19 crop are available as usual for a price of 4.00 EUR/kg FCA Czech Republic. New crop will be offered at a level of 1.85-1.90 EUR/kg FCA Czech Republic.
