Blue poppy seeds: alternatives are still on offer

CHRUDIM. The first blue poppy seed traders are more or less already set for their Christmas break. Meanwhile, suppliers in Austria can keep easily up with their competitors in the Czech Republic.

Poppy seeds trading for EUR 2.90 per kg in Austria

As Christmas is approaching and with them the enquiries for prompt deliveries are dwindling in the blue poppy seed market. Only very few suppliers are able to provide offer goods in addition to their running contracts. Czech blue poppy seeds with <10 ppm morphine are still trading at EUR 2.90 per kg FCA Czech Republic. Prices may, however, vary in both directions and buyers are urged to caution with particularly cheap offers.
