PARIS. Traders in Spain and the Czech Republic are refusing to supply offers for prompt deliveries. Drought has now also hit the market in France.

Prices will rise in France

Traders in France are selling blue poppy seeds at 2.65 EUR/kg for prompt delivery. This price may appear comparatively cheap, but it should be noted that the morphine content of <30 ppm is also comparatively high. Blue poppy seeds with a morphine content of >90 ppm are trading for 2.35 EUR/kg FCA.
