CHRUDIM/ANKARA. Traders in the Czech Republic are being confronted by their customers with favourable prices from other suppliers. However, they agree that Czech products are currently not available at this price level.

Scepticism about low prices

Overall, the situation in the Czech blue poppy seed market remains unchanged. Farmers do not allow themselves to be put under selling pressure, which is why exporters continue to give price indications starting at EUR 2.80 per kg DDP Germany. Prices tend to be even higher - up to EUR 2.90 per kg DDP Germany, depending on the supplier. However, as some traders report, they are confronted by customers with prices of around EUR 2,60 per kg which they claim to have received from Polish suppliers.
