Blue poppy seeds: subdued trading activities

CHRUDIM/ANKARA. Traders report that the markets are relatively quiet in the Czech Republic and in Turkey. Blue poppy seeds are trading in a firm range in Turkey. A noted shift has, however, been observed in the Czech Republic.

Czech koruna gains further in value

Trading activities are very much limited in the Czech Republic at present. Prices have, nevertheless, risen by a further EUR 0.02 per kg since last week. The rise is prompted by an increase in the key interest rate in the country, which has driven up the value of the koruna against the euro. Blue poppy seeds with a morphine content of <10 ppm are trading at EUR 2.86 per kg FCA Czech Republic.
