DALIAN/KYIV. Traders in China are still busy buying buckwheat from other countries. Yields are only showing a small uptick in Ukraine. As recent EU import statistics illustrate Kazakhstan has gained impressive market shares.

China retains high import volumes

Due to low import prices buckhweat is still trading at attractive rates in China. Import prices have only recorded a nominal rise in recent weeks. Supply is more than adequate as imports have increased this year. Farmers are selling at low prices also because there are enough domestic supplies.
