Bulgur: export quota suspended

GAZIANTEP. Exporters have successfully campaigned for the suspension of the export quota for bulgur in Turkey. They are also quite satisfied with the export performance in August.

Exports surge by 51%

Turkey's Ministry of Trade has recently decided to suspend the export quota for bulgur after intensive talks with the Turkish Exporters Assembly's (TIM) Cereals, Pulse, Oilseeds and Products Sector Board. This should provide a further boost to exports that already went very well for the entire sector in August. The Mediterranean Cereals, Pulses, Oilseeds and Products Exporters' Association (AHBÌB) estimates that an export value of USD 174.5 million was achieved August, which is 51% up on August last year.
