Cashews: considerable discrepancies in price

HANOI/NEW DELHI. As stated in the recently issued report from Samsons Traders the market witnessed some unexpected developments last year.

Tanzania had little influence

Although there was a shortage of around 250,000 metric tonnes of raw cashew nuts from Tanzania at the beginning of the year, this had no long-lasting impact on prices. The new crop finally arrived in the fourth quarter but had little impact on RCN prices in the global market.In general, it can be staded that cashew kernels traded in a similar level as in 2018 towards the end of the year.
