Cashews: Prices drop in India

HANOI/NEW DELHI. Vietnamese exports have risen by 17% over the first six months of the year. Contrary to this, exporters in India have been forced to go down in price.

 

Export on the rise in Vietnam
Vietnamese processors have exported 33,000 mt of cashew nuts worth USD 300 million in June. Total exports within the first six months of the year therefore amount to 176,000 mt worth USD 1.41 billion, as reported by the Ministry of Agriculture. The most important import markets for shipment from Vietnam within this period are the USA (37.9%), the Netherlands (13.1%) and China (10.9%).
