NEW DELHI. Cashew production in India is costly, which is why the country is increasingly having to fight for its position in the international market. This could, however, change soon.

India is the largest cashew producer. Due to the high domestic demand and high processing costs, competitor Vietnam has, however, become the largest exporter of cashew kernels.
