Cashews: Vietnam increases exports again

HANOI. Vietnam can defend its first place among cashew kernel exporting countries, but might face difficulties in meeting high domestic and foreign demand.

As reported by the Bureau of Import and Export (MOIT), Vietnam was again able to increase its export volumes in 2019 compared to last year. From January-November 2019, there was an increase of 21.5% compared to 2018, which corresponds to an export volume of 412,000 metric tonnes. This puts Vietnam in first place among the cashew kernel exporting countries.
