NEW DELHI. Notable shifts have taken place for chickpeas in India. Exporters are adding fuel to fire.

Market shifts

At present, the chickpea market is going through quite a shift. After sitting at some of the lowest prices seen in a while, both desi chickpeas and Kabuli Chana have started moving up.

For Kabuli Chana, average prices in major Indian markets are currently around USD 75.00/kg for standard quality, with premium Dollar Gram varieties reaching up to USD 131.87/kg.
