Arrivals of new crop and heading towards the festival would turn up the heat

Indian winter crop of peanuts is rain – fed crop whereas the summer crop is irrigated and about 85% of the summer crop is Java variety which is showing good arrivals and supply is expected to continue rise.

There is a shortage of water in some region of India, there is expectation of lower planting and hence a fear of being of smaller crop. This could lead to a jump in prices for Java variety peanuts in country, especially around the period of May-June 2018.
