Dried apricots: farmgate prices hit record high

MALATYA. Although trading is largely subdued in Turkey's dried apricot market, the producers are highly satisfied. Farmgate prices have reached levels not seen so far.

Market continues to wait for TMO

As exporters are well covered at the moment, trading is largely subdued. This also explains why prices have remained relatively firm over the last two weeks, despite the devaluation of the Turkish lira. Traders reckon that farmgate prices have reached a preliminary peak for now and will retain this level until mid-autumn. With prices recording an absolute record of TRY 20/kg producers are highly satisfied.
