AYDIN. For dried figs the situation is fixed. The current weather conditions are favourable and the current outlook for next season is promising.

Little change

Weather conditions are still favourable with temperatures expected to range at 9-13C (48-55F) at night and at 20-25C (68-77F) throughout the day in Aydin this week. Sunshine and some rain may occur towards the end of the week.

There is little change in the market. Although the local prices for figs have gone down, exporters are still not showing any interest in buying. Issue is that they purchased at higher prices at the beginning of the season and that most are now struggling with leftover products along with possible aflatoxin and ochratoxin
