Exports in rice surpass it’s record.

Exports in rice have increased to the neighbouring nation.

 

Indian rice exports jumped almost 20% (approximately) in 2017. This was due to as Bangladesh’s floods led to damage in the crop and this led to them to import from the neighbouring to match their domestic supply.  

Though Srilanka is also on a streak to buy and meet it’s demand. Bangladesh purchases likely lifted India's non-basmati exports by 38%. This would surpass the record of 2014. The demand from African countries has been lower this year.
