WARSAW/OTTAWA. Acreage in Canada is smaller than expected. The 2018/19 production is set to decline, despite higher yields.

Consistently favourable offers
Suppliers in Poland will start exporting the new crop no earlier than the beginning of October. For deliveries between October and December 2018 the offers for an entire truck load range at 465 EUR/mt DDP Germany. Annual contracts are slightly more expensive.

Although there have been delays during the flaxseed harvest in Eastern Europe, the result is set to be satisfactory in terms of volume and quality. A further decline in prices can therefore not be ruled out.
