Flaxseed: Better prices with cultivation contracts

LODZ. Polish traders are optimistic that the flaxseed prices will continue to drop in this season; commodities from Russia and Kazakhstan are already cheaper than last year at this time.

Final sprint in Russia
After seeding, reports about possible crop damage in Russia stabilised the East European flaxseed market at a comparatively high level of about 0.50 EUR/kg DDP Germany for the 2016/17 season. Meanwhile, the Russian flaxseed is almost completely harvested, and traders currently cannot complain both about the quality and the quantity. Kazakh farmers are also working at full steam on the fields to make sure that most of the harvest is brought in before the first frost.
