Flaxseed: Production to increase considerably

FRANKFURT/LODZ. Global production is expected to rise by 11.5% in 2019/2020.

Global produntion to rise to 3 million metric tonnes

Oil World estimates global production at just under 3 million metric tonnes in 2019/2020, which is an increase of 11.5% over last year. Due to an 18% increase in production, Canada is set to become the second largest producer in the world again. In Kazakhstan, production is epxted to climb by nearly 12% to 760,000 metric tonnes*. Prospects are also highly encouraging in other producing countries with the noted exception of China, where a decline is expected.
