LODZ. The harvest has started in the South of Russia. Meanwhile the prices for prompt deliveries vary considerably.

Harvest is underway in Russia

The harvest has already started in Russia and market players report that last week’s rains caused some delays. Production is expected to range on a similar level as in 2017/18 and prices should remain on a similar level.

Prices may not drop quite as low

Eastern European flaxseed, brown, 99.9% purity is currently trading on a price level of 450-465 EUR/mt FCA Poland. Buyers intending to purchase raw seeds in the producing country, however, need to reckon with price increases.
