Intensifying attacks hit wheat

Growing concern over supplies from the Black Sea region is driving the market as attacks by Moscow and Kyiv on port infrastructure show no sign of abating. Wheat exports from both countries are falling. Between 1 and 21 August, Ukraine exported 340,000 mt of wheat, a 3.7-fold decrease compared with the previous year. In 2026/2027, 1.41 million mt were exported, thereby marking a 44% fall on the previous season. Russian wheat exports amounted to 1 million mt over the same period, a 2.6-fold decrease compared with 2025/2026. Rusagrotrans
