ORDU. The TMO has so far purchased considerably less than expected. Since the farmgate prices...

...have again risen to TRY 15.25-15.50 per kg, market players are now questioning in how far the TMO will even receive all registered volumes.

This hike in prices has prompted the producers in Turkey to turn to the free market rather than the state organisation. It is estimated that the TMO has so far purchsed 34,000 metric tonnes, which is by no means enough to have an impact on the market. Exchange rate fluctuations and the farmgate prices have prompted natural kernels to trade in a range of EUR 5.65-5.85 per kg DDP Germany over the last two weeks.
