Hazelnuts: Ferrero expects price turnaround

ORDU. Market activities may currently be relatively subdued. The harvest time is, however, getting ever closer, and rumours concerning Ferrero are fuelling speculations about a possible price turnaround.

 

Crop estimates suffer slight downward correction

In the meantime, the last counts before the beginning of the harvest have been made - with slight downward corrections. The Aegean Export Union now estimates production at 636,250 mt (previously: 650,000 mt). As the figures from the Ministry of Agriculture are based on a different counting method, their estimates are traditionally far below those of the Export Union.
