Hazelnuts: Lira supports upward trend

Little willingness to sell

The Turkish hazelnut market is supplied by many seasonal growers who visit the coast once a year for the harvest season and return to their homes at the end of the summer holidays. It is primarily these growers who are currently willing to sell their crops. Other growers prefer to hold back their products instead of selling them at the current price level. In the coming weeks, supplies in the Turkish market could become even tighter, which is why further price increases are to be expected.
