ORDU. With the incredibly large price gap between the TMO and the free market prevailing Turkey’s Ministry of Trade and the Competition Authority have launched on-site investigations. The TMO is experiencing quite a run. Quality is an issue for Ferrero.

On-site price investigations launched

Authorities have started an on-site investigation into the large gap between TMO and free market prices. In Ordu, trade ministry and competition authority inspectors are reviewing traders’ commercial records and physical stocks. Producer representatives are calling for the investigation to start from export prices and work backwards along the supply chain, rather than starting with farmer/trader purchase prices.
