Hazelnuts: Strong demand in Europe

ORDU. The Turkish hazelnut market is currently characterised above all by better-than-average demand and stable prices.

 

No adjustment needed
Weekly export figures of around 8,000 mt are more than satisfactory for any given November. Since the beginning of the season, Turkish exporters have already delivered 88,000 mt of hazelnut kernels abroad, and the purchase interest from the European market is not slowing down.

Despite this, the raw nut prices are stable and the price level for hazelnut kernels, natural, 11-13 mm is still at 18.75-19.00 TRY/kg. This in turn means that even Ferrero, the market leader, does not have to adjust its offers (18.95 TRY/kg) for now,
