Last week, Turkey’s Grain Board (TMO) finally announced a purchase price of TRY 255/kg (USD 5.34/kg) for Giresun quality in-shell hazelnuts and of TRY 250/kg (USD 5.23/kg) for Levant quality. In addition, the TMO will pay a surcharge of TRY 5.10/kg (USD 0.11/kg) for Giresun hazelnuts and of TRY 5.00/kg (USD 0.10/kg) for Levant nuts for every additional 1% in kernel ratio for hazelnuts with a high kernel ratio exceeding 50%.
