This week, the TMO has initiated another round of sales. Although the market has been expecting the state-run organisation to become active for weeks, the way the current sales are being conducted is quite unusual. Sheer disbelief has been the first reaction. The Altınordu and Unye Chambers of Agriculture have even denounced the move as shameful and as an insult to producers accusing the TMO of deliberately undercutting current market prices.
