Hazelnuts: Traders harmonise prices

ORDU. Reports indicate that the market leader stocked up on plenty of hazelnuts through other exporters; this leaves only few kernels available on the free market.

 

Adjustments in the price range
Ferrero/Olam is reported to have procured around 30,000 mt of in shells from large exporters. Traders estimate the remaining stock to amount to approx. 10,000–15,000 mt. The supplies of most exporters are expected to suffice as well, which restricts free market demand for the time being. This, together with the weaker Turkish Lira, has affected the prices for hazelnut kernels, natural, 11–13 mm this week – the current prices vary on a level of 5.00–5.05 EUR/kg DDP Germany.
