Macadamias: early crop estimates for 2026

VANCOUVER. For macadamias, the first crop estimates for this year are showing mixed trends. Demand is developing in differing directions. Exporters have issued price indications for the 2026 crop in Kenya.

Industry estimates

First industry estimates for the 2026 crop have started circulating. According to consulting, sourcing and marketing service provider Ponto International South Africa’s crop will range around 7% lower than last year at just over 83,000 mt. Figures for China may range much lower than official estimates, yet the crop is expected to grow from 60,000 mt in 2025 to 80,000 mt in 2026. Projections for Australia are still to emerge.
